Close your eyes.
There is a softness, a stillness. There is a way to lay down and a way to arrange the body’s limbs in a somnolent geometry of dream. You don’t know how to do it, but you do it. The darkness is a place and in that place, the mind does not surrender but is instead transformed, pulled taut, smoothed out, and phenomenalized. Here is the bed. It is all around us. It was always already made.
Open your eyes.
